The Hitop Camper - No Frills, but A Home!
The Hitop camper is one of the favorites when it comes to renting a camper. It offers enough space to be able to live reasonably. At the same time, the Hitop Camper feels like a car when driving. It fits into a normal parking space and does not provoke a sense of panic when parking in reverse.
Advantages of the Hitop Camper
In a Hitop camper you can live quite decently despite its small size. You can sit reasonably at a table for meals, cook inside the closed vehicle and there is also decent storage space. Due to the high roof you can even stand upright (if you are not extremely tall). Of course, whether the space seems sufficient depends on the number of travelers. There is usually a toilet included and, in many cases, you are self-contained. This means that you can travel without the cost of campsites, offering you extreme flexibility.
Anyone can drive a Hitop camper without much practice. Due to its weight, it may drive a little differently uphill than a Golf might, but it still can`t be compared to driving a big truck. For people who don't have too much luggage, can do without luxury and are looking for a simple but absolutely practical solution, the Hitop camper is just perfect.
Disadvantages of the Hitop Camper
Even in a Hitop camper you can only stay to a limited extent of time. You can deal with a few rainy days, but there's not much more to do than play cards or stare into your cellphone. Depending on how many people travel in the vehicle, you have to convert and rummage a lot so that beds become seats and vice versa. After a few weeks, this can easily get annoying.
Life without a shower is rather unusual for us. Every few days you want to feel fresh and clean again. Well, there is no shower within the Hitop camper! Therefore, you have to plan the stay at a campsite after a few days in the wilderness. Also, the toilet cannot be used in a separate room, offering you no privacy. The Hitop has no auxiliary heating, which can be an exclusion criterion for winter trips.
Of course, other things in a Hitop camper are neither as big as they are in a motorhome. The beds, the refrigerator, the cupboards, the table - basically everything - is made as compact as possible to accommodate it in the small body of the vehicle. If you are on the road for a long time, it can become nerve-racking at some point. It is definitely not easy to assess yourself correctly beforehand. What we can tell you though: better bring patience for a lot of things when renting a Hitop camper.
