Mighty Campers - The Budget Fleet of the THL Group

The rental company Mighty belongs alongside Britz and Maui to New Zealand's largest camper and motorhome rental company named THL ("Tourism Holdings Ltd"). United, Kea and Alpha New Zealand were bought out by the THL group at the end of 2012 and since then have offered the most comprehensive range of campers and motorhomes in New Zealand all under one brand. The bought vehicles can still be found in the Mighty fleet.
The budget company offers a wide range of models and ranges from the Hitop campers, to smaller campers with integrated shower and toilet, to a 6 berth motorhome. There are different model versions in almost all categories. Generally the same number of beds, seats etc. is guaranteed, other than the layout. In addition, Mighty Campers does not provide any information about the bed dimensions. The Highball and Double Down models can already be hired by a group of backpackers aged 18 and over. All other models are approved from the age of 21. In addition to Auckland and Christchurch, the campers can also be rented in Queenstown.
Concerning gravel roads, the THL Group does not provide clear information as to whether you can pass such or not. In the terms and conditions, the section in question is formulated very vaguely, so that all intermediaries therefore go the safe way by presenting it on the website as not allowed. Fact is, however, that it remains a matter of interpretation for the respective company.
