offers space and of course, it should not be too old, very safe and reliable. In this article we illuminate

It used to be as easy as: Backpack on, some clothes in, small bag with passport and cell phone and maybe something to nibble on. We were ready to start off. Traveling with children is somewhat different. Having a good packing system can literally save you a lot of time and nerves. Useful hand luggage and well-structured travel bags are the desired result. This can be achieved with thoughtful planning, a good packing checklist and a few little tricks. You are welcome to use our ideas and experiences for your preparation.

Regardless of whether you want to go to New Zealand or Australia: if you don't happen to live in Fiji, you have a long flight ahead of you. Living in a camper or motorhome for several weeks is a major change for almost all of us. Little space, less luxury, an ever-changing environment and daily bedding set-up and take-downs. But on the contrary, there is: A beach in front of your door, playgrounds, rocks for climbing, fish `n chips, seagulls, sea lions and crabs as pets, a search for mussels at seven in the morning, a marvel at sunsets, a swim in the sea instead of taking a shower. Traveling with children is wonderful, but – sure - sometimes very tiring. We share our experiences from camper life with children here with you.

Small and especially large hikes should always be well prepared. If you have children with you, you need to have a lot in mind before heading off. Which tour do we want to take? Is the condition of the smaller children sufficient for the tour? Do we have a plan B in case it doesn't work out somehow? What has to go with and who is wearing what? What's the weather like? What do we all wear? Is there drinking water or toilets on the way? We kept asking ourselves these questions when we were traveling with three children.
