Spaceships is a company that comes from New Zealand and was founded there. The company is now a proud landlord in Australia, but also in Europe and Great Britain. The concept of the foundation was as simple as it was brilliant. Many tourists have been asked what they would like to have as a mobile stand. The result was a mix between the big campers and a normal car, which should be available at the cheapest possible price so that you can spend more money in the country yourself. Then Spaceships started with the SleeperVans fleet. The company deliberately decided against self-contained SleeperVans because they wanted to protect the environment and responded to what was said by the respondents in that the campsites invest better in the country and in clean camping. The management was previously active at the bus company Kiwi Experience and had learned particularly well through years of experience what a backpacker would want from their own rental vehicle. This includes a comfortable bed, a portable stove, a water tank, sufficient storage space, a refrigerator and the possibility to listen to your own music.

Spaceship is known for an uncomplicated process. There are no one-way fees and gravel roads are not a problem as they are allowed and insured. There is a large selection of accessories. You can book this on site or let your agent reserve it in advance. All vehicles at Spaceships can be driven from the age of 18.

• If you rent for more than 21 days, a transfer is included, which runs via "Discount Taxi". There are fixed prices. The following rates apply for Auckland: $ 30 to / from City Center Auckland to the depot; $ 35 from depot to airport; $ 40 from the airport to the depot. Alternatively, you can take bus 380 (airport) to Onehunga from the airport, then the train to Penrose Station and then a 10-15 minute walk to the depot.
• In Christchurch you can also take a transfer from the airport. Follow the signs to buses / transfer. The shuttle is called Super Shuttle and takes you to the depot. It's free if you rent for more than 21 days. Otherwise the transfer costs $ 29.
• Express Return Package ($ 79): drop off your keys, pack your things and go (you don't need to wash bedding or vacuum the vehicle, etc.).
• Summer package ($ 90): 1 table, 2 chairs, solar shower, cooler bag.
