Travellers Autobarn (TAB) is a young dynamic company from Australia, which has now started to offer camper rental in New Zealand as well. The company is growing continuously with structures that are kept simple. The company originally focused on backpackers and consequently TAB's reputation in Australia was rather moderate. Following the fundamental rejuvenation of the fleet, TAB is now more at home in the upper middle class. In our opinion the service of the team is better than in the classic backpacker market and therefore more than satisfactory. Travellers Autobarn offers four vehicles of different sizes. The smallest vehicle is the Station Wagon, which can be used as a 2-person sleeper, but is also designed for up to 7 people. The next largest vehicles are the 2-3 people Hitops. There is an older model with the Hitop and a modern version with the Kuga. The largest vehicle is the Hi 5 Hitop, which can accommodate up to 5 people. Both the Kuga and the Hi 5 have a brand new interior, which is why the offers are particularly attractive for these two models. Kitchen equipment, towels and bedding are charged as living equipment for additional AUD 45 (exception Hi5 with AUD 75). At TAB, bedding means that there are no blankets but sleeping bags. All other extras must be booked separately. But the price-performance ratio is still very good, because other companies may give you more accessories, at TAB there is no frills or such extras are optionally offered.
